Baked Yogurt is one of the simplest, and the most delicious desserts you'll ever make. 4 simple ingredients and 2 minutes prep time. Okay. That may be an exaggeration. But it won't take you more than 5. We find ourselves making this whenever we have a cheesecake craving but don't have all ingredients on hand. The rich, creamy texture of this Baked yogurt satisfies us just like a cheesecake would, for far fewer calories. Before you ask if this is similar to the Bengali dessert Bhapa doi, yes it is. Bhapa doi is steamed and is made with milk & spices (Please correct us if we are wrong). This one has Vanilla, cream and is baked. Both have slightly different textures and mouthfeel due to varying fat content. To put it simply, Baked Yogurt is Bhapa Doi which went to England. 😂With mercury soaring everywhere, we found this chilled dessert to be apt for Bake Squad 10! Also, we've reached a new milestone that is 10 weeks. So what's not to celebrate?

200 ml Plain Yogurt / Curd
200 ml Condensed milk
150 ml Single cream
1tsp Vanilla extract
Preheat oven to 150 degrees Celsius.
In a bowl beat plain yogurt using a balloon whisk until there are no visible lumps.
Add condensed milk, pouring cream, vanilla extract and mix well.
Pour into an oven safe pan (We used aluminium foil containers) and bake at 150 degrees Celsius and for 30-40 minutes or until just set.
If you are baking it as single servings, reduce the baking time accordingly.
Let it set in the refrigerator for 2 more hours.
Serve chilled with fresh fruit compote.
